What we aim for

Having pursued the comfort of mobility (mobile space), the Toyota Boshoku group is aiming for the comfort of the environment, including society and the earth.

Activity Plan

The Toyota Boshoku group defines its three focuses as global warming prevention to tackle climate change, resource circulation to prevent natural resource depletion and co-existence with nature to keep the biodiversity and sets specific numerical targets for them, aiming for more active protection of global environment.

2025 Environmental
Action Plan

  • 2025 *1

Global warming prevention/Reduction in life cycle GHG emissions:―・Reduction in production GHG emissions:25%、Resource circulation/Applicable ratio of recycled resin:―・Basic unit of waste emissions*:FY19≧、Co-existence with nature/Reduction rate of water use per unit:6%・Cumulative total of trees planted:640 thousand trees
  • 2030

Global warming prevention/Reduction in life cycle GHG emissions:30%・Reduction in production GHG emissions:50%、Resource circulation/Applicable ratio of recycled resin:30%・Basic unit of waste emissions*:FY19≧、Co-existence with nature/Reduction rate of water use per unit:34%・Cumulative total of trees planted:900 thousand trees
  • 2050 Goal

Global warming prevention/Reduction in life cycle GHG emissions:100%(net zero)・Reduction in production GHG emissions:100%(net zero)、Resource circulation/Applicable ratio of recycled resin:Maximization of resource circulation・Basic unit of waste emissions*:FY19≧、Co-existence with nature/Reduction rate of water use per unit:76%・Cumulative total of trees planted:1320 thousand trees

*1 Partially revised due to changes in the base year and organizational structure related to SBT certification

*2 Absorb business growth factors so as not to increase emissions per unit
(no increases since FY2019)

FY2019: from April,2019 to March, 2020
